How the Animal Welfare Center Benefits the Community
A police department Animal Welfare Center is designed to be a very short-term housing solution in times of lost/found animals and emergencies where a fast solution is needed. Access is available at no charge and is available 24/7/365 as a courtesy to their citizens.
Lost a Pet: Owners can pick up their pet by contacting dispatch and meeting with Animal Control OR a Police Officer 24/7/365.

How the Animal Welfare Center Benefits the Police Department:
It saves the animal control officer time and gas. The officer can keep the animal at the Animal Welfare and not have to drive outside their assigned area, especially late in the day. Animal Control can off load animals much faster, keeping them in a climate-controlled facility while returning to their job quickly. No waiting in line to drop off an animal.
